“It’s an honor to partner with Extreme Music on the Death Row Pro series,” says Snoop Dogg, owner and CEO of Death Row.
Founded in 1991, Death Row Records catapulted gangster rap into the mainstream with releases such as Snoop’s “Doggystyle,” Tupac’s “All Eyez on Me,” and Dr. Dre’s “The Chronic.” Over 30 years later, the launch of Death Row Pro celebrates the legacy of Death Row Records and the anniversary of “Doggystyle,” with the first releases of Death Row Pro anticipated to drop soon.
“Extreme sets itself apart by striving for authenticity, and when it comes to hip-hop, there is nothing more authentic than Death Row,” adds Russell Emanuel, CEO of Extreme Music. “We are super excited to be bringing the sonic horsepower of Death Row to music supervisors.”
